Teen injured after car collides with pole in Verona

VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Verona teen has been injured following a one-car motor vehicle accident Sunday night.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Jenna Condes, 17, of Verona was driving north on Germany Road in Verona around 7:43 p.m. Sunday when she failed to make a curve and lost control of her vehicle.

Condes' vehicle then collided with a telephone pole on the west shoulder of the roadway, authorities said.

She was treated on scene by member of the Durhamvlle Fire Department and Verona Fire Department and was then transported to Oneida Healthcare for injuries to her hands and arms by Vineall Ambulance.

Authorities said Condes was issued a traffic summons for unreasonable speed and is scheduled to appear in Verona Town Court in April.

New York State Police assisted Deputies on scene.
