OHIO, N.Y. (WKTV) - An accident in the Town of Ohio Tuesday morning sent a tractor trailer off the road.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 8. A witness said the tractor trailer was headed south on Route 8 when it crossed the center line on a sharp curve, went off the road and into some trees. According to State Police, the driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Mark Mowers, a resident living nearby and voiced concern about vehicle speed in the area after a recent accident involving a log truck and school bus, said that he felt if Poland Central School had not been on delay Tuesday morning, the truck could have potentially hit the school bus as it picked up his kids.
