CROGHAN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Croghan woman has been charged after a one-car rollover accident early Saturday morning.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Dana M. Lyndaker, 21, of Croghan was traveling north on State Route 812 when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Authorities say her vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree before it overturned.

Lyndaker was transported by Croghan Ambulance to Lewis County General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office states that blood was drawn from Lyndaker with the subsequent testing showing she was intoxicated.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right. She will answer the charges in the Town of Croghan Court at a later date.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Croghan Fire Department and Wolff's Towing.
