Camp destroyed by fire in Town of Exeter

EXTER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire officials suspect that a hot water heater may be at fault for a hire that destroyed a camp in the Town of Exeter.

When firefighters arrived at 117 Perkins Lane around 5:15 Wednesday morning, the camp was completely engulfed in flames. No one was injured, but fire officials say an adjacent camp at 115 Perkins Lane sustained damage.

While no officials cause has been determined, investigators are taking a closer look at the hot water heater.

Multiple departments were on the scene, including Schuyler Lake, Richfield Springs West Exeter, among others.
