UTICA, N.Y.( WKTV) - Utica firefighters battled a blaze in East Utica for more than an hour, Wednesday night.
The fire started at around 7 p.m. at 1132 Kossuth Ave. Smoke and flames were visible from the multifamily structure.
Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks said firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to surrounding structures.
Brooks said the house was an abandoned structure and it sustained extensive damage.
