UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Investigators are looking into what may have sparked a blaze on Blandina Street in the City of Utica around 1 a.m. Friday morning.

The fire broke out at a multi-family home at 749 Blandina Street, but it was not clear how many people were living in the structure at the time the fire broke out.

Flames and heavy smoke was visible when crews arrived on scene, and firefighters had to break windows on the upper floors of the structure to ventilate the smoke.

There is no word on any injuries as of this writing.
