Red Cross responds to six fires in 11 days

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - In addition to helping the victims of a Wednesday morning fire in the Village of Clinton, the Mohawk Valley Red Cross says they have responded to six fires in the first 11 days of July.

They meet with families on the scene, assess damage and provide food, clothing, and shelter. They also provide counseling and advice to help those impacted get back on their feet.

"The families were all quite upset as one could expect and they tried to determine what their next steps are and offer some suggestions as to how they can begin their recovery," said Edith Buffalohead of the Red Cross.

The Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley is always in need of volunteers and donations. If you are interested in helping out, you can call
