Kemp Out As UC Head Football Coach

By Sports WKTV

Seven years ago, Mike Kemp was hired to start a new football program at Utica College. Late Tuesday night, word broke that he is no longer with the program.

Athletic director Jim Spartano would not say whether Kemp resigned or was fired, citing confidentiality, and would only say it's a "personnel matter."

Jellerson has been with the program for the past five seasons, and received endorsement from both the coaching staff and team leaders.

In 2005, UC finished a program-best 6-4, but went 3-7 in 2006 and is currently 2-5 in 2007. Spartano would not comment on a reason for the change.
