UTICA, N.Y. -- A four-way tie for first place will be broken in the King of Kings men’s basketball league when players with NBA, European and major college basketball credentials square off Tuesday evening at Utica College.
There is no admission charge for the 6:00 tripleheader that will feature four teams all at 4-1 in the second and third games. Dynasty
of Syracuse meets the Utica-area Greater Grace at 7:00, followed by defending champs Prestige Elite of Syracuse against Allah Born of Albany.
Prestige Elite’s Marcus Douthit, 6-11 who played at Providence and with the Los Angeles Lakers, will go against James Thomas, 6-8 from the Texas Longhorns and three NBA teams.  Both currently play in Europe, as does Allah Born guard and Purdue product Willie Dean.
In the 7:00 game, local standouts Scott Knapp (Siena) Doug Herring (Utica College) and Joe Smith (Hamilton) will have their hands full with Dynasty, a team that includes former Syracuse University players Billy Edelin and Dayshawn Wright, high school All-America Brandon Triche, and European professional Tommy Gunn.
