Smith Gets Revenge On Melvin Roads, Advances To Final Four

NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Last year, Melvin Roads knocked Smith out of the New York State American Legion Tournament with a 13-0 mercy rule win in the championship. On Friday, Smith returned the favor, knocking out Melvin Roads 9-6 in a third round elimination game at Delano-Hitch Stadium.

The victory sends Smith, now 29-4-1, back to the final four. Next up will be the winner of Jurek vs. Anaconda Saturday at 7:00.
