Whitesboro Swimming & Diving Earns First-Ever Win

WATERVILLE, NY (WKTV) - In its ninth season, the Whitesboro Girls Swimming & Diving team finally has a team victory to celebrate.  The Lady Warriors won the Waterville Invitational on Saturday by a landslide, earning the program's first-ever team championship by 49 points.

Whitesboro finished with 274 points, well ahead of runner-up Waterville's 215.  Karissa Risucci was the Lady Warriors' individual standout, setting a meet record in the 100-meter breaststroke with a state-qualifying time of 1:09.59.  Risucci is already the 13th Lady Warrior out of 28 to qualify for states this season.
