Baseball Hall of Fame Offering VIP Tour to Fans

COOPERSTOWN, NY – History happens every day in baseball. And now, fans have the chance to see just how the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum preserves that history for generations to come.

Fans will have the opportunity to explore behind the scenes at the Baseball Hall of Fame through the Hall of Fame VIP Experience, a program designed to give visitors an extraordinary trip to the Hall of Fame on select dates from November 2008 through April 2009.

The Museum has partnered with Cooperstown accommodations to offer this unique package, which is only available thorough participating accommodations on 12 select dates.

The Hall of Fame VIP Experience will begin with exclusive after-hours access to the Hall of Fame on Thursday evening and wrap up on Friday afternoon with a private reception. The Hall of Fame VIP Experience is a great way to learn more about the Museum and baseball history, whether this is your first or your 50th visit to Cooperstown.

The Hall of Fame VIP Experience includes: a Hall of Fame Sustaining Membership ($100 value), exclusive after-hours access to the Museum on Thursday evening, a library archive tour, a Museum collections artifact presentation and a private late-afternoon reception with light refreshments served.

Available for purchase through select Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce accommodations, the Hall of Fame VIP Experience makes a perfect get-away or a great gift for someone special. Space is limited for this exclusive program.

Program dates include: Nov. 6-7, Nov. 13-14, Dec. 4-5, Jan. 8-9, Jan. 22-23, Feb. 5-6, Feb. 19-20, March 5-6, March 19-20, April 2-3, April 16-17 and April 23-24. Accommodations include: The Cooper Inn, The Inn at Cooperstown , The Phinney House, The Rose and Thistle Bed and Breakfast and The White House Inn. Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum , as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Museum observes off-season hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from the day after Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend. Ticket prices are $16.50 for adults (13 and over), $11 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $6 for juniors (ages 7-12). Members are always admitted free of charge and there is no charge for children 6 years of age or younger.
