RFA Girls Can't Catch a Break vs. Oswego

By by BRIAN SANDLER

ROME, NY (WKTV) - 100 minutes, 29 shots, zero goals.  That was the story Tuesday evening at RFA Stadium, as the Rome Free Academy girls soccer team was forced to settle for a tough 0-0 overtime tie with visiting Oswego.

From the start, RFA dominated both ball possession and scoring chances, finishing with 19 shots to Oswego's 10.  But one hit the lower edge of the crossbar and the other 18 were saved by Leah Folgherait, giving the Lady Black Knights nothing to show for their offensive efforts.

Emma Duchesneau made nine saves for RFA.

With the tie, RFA is now 1-0-1 in Central New York Counties League play and 3-2-1 overall; Oswego is 0-1-1 (1-5-1).
