UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The 2009 Boilermaker Road Race will have more entries than 2008, according to race publicity director Mary MacEnroe.

Registration for the 15k is closed and the latest numbers are at 11,494 entries. That's up from 10,809 in 2008. The 5k is also up from last year. 2000 runners have registered this year up from 1,554 in 2008. Even the walk is higher this year with 511 registered.

For those still interested in registering for the the 5k or walk, there will be an opportunity to do so at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday July 10th at the Masonic Care Community grounds.
