Oriskany made the most of a miserable day for baseball on Friday, holding off Center State Conference Division IV foe Westmoreland on the road 8-5.

The Redskins jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning and never looked back. Jeff Sergott led the way with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, including a double, two runs, and an RBI.

Oriskany is now 9-2 overall and 3-0 in league play; Westmoreland is 7-3 (1-2).
