On Tuesday, UC beat local rival Hamilton 4-2 at the Aud. On Friday, the Continentals returned the favor, knocking off the Pioneers 5-2 at Sage Rink. The win improves Hamilton to 3-3, while UC drops to 6-3. The Continentals now lead the all-time series 5-2-1. Post-game reaction follows the highlights.

Over at the Aud, the same schools skated against each other in women's ice hockey. The final score was the same as the men's, but in this game, UC was the one on the winning end. Deana Wiegand had 2 goals and an assist in the win, which gets the Pioneers back to the .500 mark at 3-3. Hamilton falls to 2-4.

In high school basketball, most of Friday's games were postponed due to the snow, but a few tip-offs did take place--two of which were at VVS. In boys action, the Red Devils doubled up the Camden Blue Devils 61-30. Jared Tiffin had a game-high 15 points for VVS, and Nate Rizzo chipped in 12. The Red Devils are now 3-2 overall.

VVS and Camden met up in girls basketball, as well, with the Red Devils winning a close one, 43-37. VVS had a 15-point lead at halftime, then staved off a Camden rally for the victory. Devon Croll led the way with 21 points for VVS, while Liz King had 12 for Camden in the loss. Red Devils are now 4-1 this season; Blue Devils are 4-3.
