Clinton, NY -- Joseph Hudson '10 scored two goals to help lead Hamilton College to a 3-0 non-league win against visiting SUNY Institute of Technology at Love Field on Sept. 10.

Head coach Perry Nizzi collected his 100th win at Hamilton. Nizzi, who is in his 11th year with the team, owns an overall record of 100-43-14.

Max Akuamoah-Boateng '09 scored the Continentals' other goal and was credited with one assist. Anthony Carello '09 played the first 76 minutes in goal and made two saves before he gave way to Mark Garcia '10 as the duo combined to post the shutout.

Hamilton (2-0 overall) has won all 19 meetings with SUNYIT. Kurt Makowski '12 made three saves for the Wildcats (2-2).

The Continentals scored the first goal just 4 minutes, 10 seconds into the contest. After a SUNYIT foul, Sam Dwyer '10 took a free kick for Hamilton. Dwyer sent the ball into the goal mouth, where Akuamoah-Boateng headed it to Hudson, and Hudson pushed the ball past Makowski's left side.

The Continentals capitalized on a turnover deep in the Wildcats' territory late in the first half for the second goal. Bennett Weinerman '11 came up with the loose ball on the right-hand side of the goalie box and crossed it to Akuamoah-Boateng, who one-timed the pass into the back of the net with 2:51 left.

Hudson was on the receiving end of a beautiful pass for the last goal. Frank Campagnano -- a Liberty League co-Rookie of the Week selection -- lofted a long pass from the left side to Hudson, who was near the far post. Hudson headed the ball into the open net for the 3-0 cushion in the 63rd minute.

Hamilton hosts Ithaca College for another non-league game on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 12:30 p.m.
