Yard Dogs Will Open Playoffs on Road

Sports WKTV

UTICA, NY (WKTV) - After a 5-5 inaugural regular season in the Northeast Football Alliance, the Utica Yard Dogs will open the playoffs on the road Saturday at Albany at 7:30 p.m.

Utica, which finished 7th in the 12-team league, will be looking to beat the Tigers in the quarterfinals after not playing them during the regular season.

The Yard Dogs are led by All-Star rookie running back Alex Heath, who broke the 1,000-yard mark to lead the NFA this season and was named the team's "MVD," or "Most Valuable Dog."
