Oneida Clinches Outright B East Title vs. V-V-S

VERONA, NY (WKTV) - Facing off for the first time in three seasons on Saturday, Oneida ousted rival V-V-S 43-14 behind five total touchdowns by Ryan Kramer, clinching the outright Class B East championship.

Kramer, the Indians' senior quarterback, completed six of nine passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns, rushed twice for 130 yards and two touchdowns (38 and 92 yards), and also returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown.  Running back Rick Rossi racked up 140 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, receiver Brandon Miles had three catches for 94 yards and a touchdown, and Matt Gillmeister led the defense with three and a half sacks.

The victory clinches a perfect league record for Oneida at 4-0 and gives the Indians their first league title since 2004.  Oneida, which is ranked No. 3 in the state in Class B, is now 6-0 overall and will go for an undefeated overall regular season Friday at home against Norwich.

V-V-S falls to 0-3 in Class B East and 1-5 overall.
