By by BRIAN SANDLER

In eight years of existence prior to this one, the Whitesboro girls swimming & diving team had never won a meet.  On Saturday, the Lady Warriors continued their incredible ninth season, winning their first-ever Frontier League Championship and staying undefeated at 15-0.

Whitesboro won the league meet with 406 points, beating out Thousand Islands' 367 and Watertown's 350.  Two swimmers won two individual events: Keri Cecilia took the 200M freestyle in 2:08.76 and the 500M freestyle in 5:52.44, and Carissa Risucci won the 200M individual medley in 2:21.14 and the 100M breaststroke in 1:10.16, which is a qualifying time for the state meet.

The Lady Warriors now prepare for the Section III meet, in which half their team will participate.  The meet runs from November 5-8 at Nottingham.  After that is the state meet November 21-22 in Buffalo.
