UC Men's Hockey Defeats Lebanon Valley 4-2

Hershey, PA - The Utica College men's hockey team defeated host Lebanon Valley 4-2 in ECAC Men's West Conference action Wednesday night. 

With the win the Pioneers improved to 2-1-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. UC is now 16-1 all-time against the Dutchmen in 17 meetings to date. 

ECAC Men's West Player of the Week Tim Coffman (Laconia (AJHL)/Elverson, PA ) netted two goals and added one assist to guide the Pioneer offensive attack.  Coffman, a freshman forward, now has a team-best six goals and four assists this season and he currently ranks third in the nation averaging 1.5 goals per contest.  

Classmate Mike Leone (St. Louis (NAHL)/Dearborn, MI ) netted his fourth goal of the season, while junior Aaron Jeffery (Billings Bulls (NAHL)/Brighton, MI ) added a game-high three assists.  Senior assistant captain T.J. Schneider (La Ronge Ice Wolves/Spring City, PA ) also netted one goal to cap the scoring on the evening.  

Sophomore Justin Bolla (Oswego (OPJHL)/Niantic, CT ) stopped 21 shots in net for UC and collected his first career victory.  

The Pioneers return to action Friday night when they host Johnson & Wales in a non conference match up at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.  The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m.
