RFA Shuts Out Whitesboro


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Rome Free Academy rebounded nicely in the consolation game of the Utica College High School Hockey Classic Saturday at the Aud, shutting out Whitesboro 3-0.

RFA, coming off a 5-2 semifinal loss to New Hartford, went ahead in the second period on a power play goal by T.J. Reilly and put the game away with two scores in the third by Dustin Frankey and Max Bartell.  Reilly and Frankey each notched a goal and two assists, and goalie Mike Endres made them stand with 22 saves for a shutout.

Whitesboro goalie Ryan Smith stopped 25 shots.

RFA is now 1-1; Whitesboro is 0-1-1.
