Top 6 at 6: Best Football Plays From 2008
WKTV - These are the top six best football plays caught by our cameras for the 2008 high school football season.
Number Six: Holland Patent's Dan Fruscella, great runner, check it out as he hurdles over the would be tackler for the nice gain. Heck of a play.
Number Five: One of the crazier games of the season, New Hartford at Whitesboro...Anthony Acevedo sacked in the endzone for the two point safety. That turned out to be key for the Warriors because in overtime, they went for two down one and the win, Junior Woodard to Ryan Wells for the game winning two point conversion.
Number four: Clay Ardoin takes the direct snap, lets one go to the endzone, Anthony Dykeman makes the great catch on the tip ball with five seconds left in the half, Dolgeville went on to win their first section title since 2002.
Number Three: Westmoreland football against Cato, Bulldogs go for it on 4th down, diving catch by Nick Matwijec (mah-twee-jick)! Bulldogs won their second section title in three years.
Number two: hit of the year, Jamie Barr just watch and listen, lays out Alec Silvera....Knight won that game.
Number one play of the year, from the Oneida vs. Westhill Class B Section title game, Ryan Kramer being Ryan Kramer, gets out of trouble and finds a wide open Nate Mallinder for the 40 yard score...Congrats to Oneida and all of our section three stars on a great season.
