Sackets Harbor Boys Come Back To Beat N.Y. Mills

NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - A 10-point lead after three quarters evaporated in the fourth on Saturday for the New York Mills boys basketball team as Sackets Harbor outscored the Marauders 26-13 for a 58-55 win.

New York Mills opened the game with a 12-2 run, then Sackets Harbor cut it to 17-16 early in the second quarter.  The Marauders closed the half with a 15-5 run for a 32-21 halftime lead and still led 42-32 heading to the fourth, but the Patriots came back thanks in large part to free throw shooting.  Sackets Harbor went 11-for-17 in the fourth quarter, a big turnaround from its 8-for-20 performance in the first three quarters.

Fred Russ and Brandon McNair each scored 15 points for New York Mills, with Russ adding seven rebounds and Jeremy Miller grabbing 14 boards.  Sackets Harbor was led by Gage LeClair with 20 points and Craig Rogers with 13.

New York Mills is now 10-6 overall.
