Oriskany softball stays perfect with win over West Canada Valley

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Mallory Ingalls pitched a complete game and hit a two-run home run Wednesday to lead Oriskany to its 11th win in 11 games with a 5-1 victory over West Canada Valley.

Megan Serley got Oriskany's offense started with a leadoff home run in the first, a two-out error by West Canada Valley in the third led to two runs and Ingalls capped the scoring with her two-run drive in the fifth.  On the mound, Ingalls stranded 10 Lady Indians runners, allowing one earned run on five hits and five walks while striking out five.

West Canada Valley starting pitcher Alexa Disponto struck out 10 in a complete-game loss.

Oriskany, ranked No. 9 in the state in Class D, is now 6-0 in Center State Conference Division III.  West Canada Valley is 3-4 in CSC III and 3-10 overall.
