CLINTON, N.Y. - Defending NCAA Division III champion Hamilton College will play Williams College in a 2009 NCAA tournament regional semifinal at Colby College's Bill Alfond Field in Waterville, Maine, on Saturday, May 9, at 2:30 p.m.
Colby plays Middlebury College in the other semifinal at 11:30 on Saturday morning. The semifinal winners meet in the regional final -- also at Colby -- on Sunday, May 10, at 1 p.m.
Ticket prices for the event are $3 for adults and $2 for students each day. Tickets will not be pre-sold, but will be available one hour prior to the start of the first game on both days.
The Continentals won the Liberty League tournament for the third straight year on May 2. Colby captured its second consecutive NESCAC tournament title on May 3. Middlebury owns five NCAA championships in women's lacrosse while Hamilton picked up its crown in 2008.
The Continentals have played Williams just once in the program's 31-year history. The Ephs won 22-13 back in 1996. Hamilton defeated Colby and Middlebury in the Continentals' own NCAA regional last year. Hamilton is led by 2009 Liberty League tournament Most Valuable Player Liz Rave '10, and 2008 First Team All-Americans Kaillie Briscoe '09 and Kate Marek '09.
