HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. (WKTV) - A five-run fourth inning and a sudden thunderstorm proved to be good for Parkhurst on Wednesday as it beat Oneida County Gold Division rival Roberts on the road 5-1 in five innings.

Trailing 1-0 entering the fourth, Parkhurst's Andy Munn led off with an infield single, took second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Dan Lounsbury--which came after he failed to bunt Munn over when he was on first.  An error and a walk loaded the bases and Cody Passalacqua blooped a single to right to put Parkhurst ahead 2-1.  Roberts starting pitcher Cody Crego then struck out the next two batters, but he was pulled after hitting Vin Barbato to force in a run.  Mike Hennings came in and promptly walked Jeff Sergott and Munn on four pitches each to force in the final two runs.

Dave Parker was the beneficiary of the rally, holding Roberts to one earned run in a five-inning complete game and striking out seven.  He sped through the bottom of the fifth inning as rain started to fall heavily, barely getting out before a downpour and thunder brought an early end to the game.

Parkhurst is now 7-3 in league play while Roberts drops to 3-6.

Roberts' lone run came on an RBI double by Tyler Mann in the first inning.
