WESTMORELAND, NY (WKTV) - Westmoreland running back Justin Becker scored five touchdowns on only eight touches Saturday as the Bulldogs bowled over Oriskany 53-6.
Becker scored on a 29-yard pass from Dan Smith, a 29-yard run, a 71-yard run on a swing pass (it counts as a run because it was caught behind the line of scrimmage), a 12-yard pass from Smith and a 45-yard run, putting Westmoreland up 41-0 in the second quarter. He finished with 149 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries (and his first one went for only one yard) and caught three passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Oriskany's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by quarterback Mike Bunal in the fourth. Westmoreland's other scores came on a 59-yard fumble return by Kevin Eisnor in the second, a 65-yard run by Travis Rogers in the third and a 61-yard run by Tom Nolan in the fourth.
Westmoreland is now 1-0 in Class D South and 2-0 overall while Oriskany drops to 1-1 league and overall.
Brandon Jones led the Bulldogs' defense with six tackles.
