NY MIlls girls advance to Class D Final

By WKTV Sports

CICERO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New York Mills girls basketball team has been under the radar all season, but after beating Sackets Harbor 48-34 in the Class D semifinals Monday Night, there's little doubt that Lady Marauders are for real.  They're the top seed in their section, but have taken a back seat to their male counterparts, who are undefeated and ranked #1 in the state in Class D.

The Lady Marauders took control of their game with Sackets Harbor early, leading 27-16 at halftime, but couldn't seem to put the Lady Patriots away.  That is until late in the game, when senior Allie Jennings came up with some huge baskets.  She finished with 11 points.  Erica Pendrak led all scorers with 12.

Mills will now face Hamilton in the Class D final on Saturday at a time yet to be set.  The time will be determined in a section meeting on Tuesday.
