Hamlin defends US Luge title

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Remsen native Erin Hamlin succcessfully defended her U.S. Women's Luge National Title Sunday at the 2010 Norton National Championships Sunday at the Olympic Sports Complex. 

Hamlin, who finished the first day's action with a first place time of 1:29.079, which was 0.857 ahead of her U.S. Olympic teammate Julia Clukety.  On Sunday, Hamlin finished with a time of 1:30.371, which was 0.743 ahead of Emily Sweeney, who finished in second.
