By By MIKE LEVIN

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The season is over for Proctor baseball, as C-NS defeated the Raiders 4-2 Thursday at Murnane Field in the Section III Class AA Quarterfinals.  The North Stars got revenge for an earlier CNYCL loss, on May 11, when Proctor beat C-NS 7-1.

The Raiders committed three errors in Thursday's game, and only managed two hits off pitcher Joe Pokrentowski.  The North Stars had eight hits off Steve Sarcone, who struck out eight, but ended up on the losing end.

The game was tied at one in the fifth inning when John Howell put C-NS in front with double that scored Riley Moonan.  The North Stars added two insurance runs in the seventh, on a two run single by Brian Hamilton.

Proctor finishes the season at 13-7.
