By By MIKE LEVIN

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs hosted a meet and greet with fans at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, during the Helmuth-Ingalls Legion game, and welcomed former MLB pitcher Tommy John as well.

It was the first chance for the players and coaches of the new DiamondDawgs team to meet the fans, in preparation for the first game Saturday night.

John, who spent 26 years in the Majors with the Yankees and five other teams, was happy to help.  "You got to enjoy the moment here. You're at the ballpark, the kids are 19, 20, 21 years old, it's good clean baseball, you're outside, it's a beautiful ballpark. You just go have fun."
