Adrean falls in Blue & Gold semis

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Adrean Post came close, but not quite enough to beat Haddon Heights in the semifinals of the Blue & Gold Legion Baseball Classic Sunday, falling 11-10 at Murnane Field.  Mike Gaglianese hit a long fly ball to center with Colin Hulser on second base in the seventh inning, but it was caught to end the game.

Adrean fell behind 2-0 in the first, but tied it in the second inning, on a two run double by Colin Pastorella.  They took the lead in the third, on an error to second that Steve Sarcone took advantage of, scoring from third.  Connor Cough then laid down a sacrific bunt to score Kevin Rowlands.

But Haddon then scored five runs, including two on a squeeze bunt, in the bottom of the third.

Haddon went on the win the Classic Championship, with a 5-2 win over Hamilton (NJ).
