May returns for Hospice Celebrity Event

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) - It was a special day and night as the Catskill Area Hospice hosted their annual Golf Tournament and Celebrity Party Thursday.  After a day of golf, former pro athletes and ESPN personalities joined supporters at the Brewery Omegang.

There was a sports memorabilia auction and a live performance by Dennis DeYoung, the former lead singer of the band Styxx.

Oneonta grad and ESPN College Football analyst Mark May was back again to help support the home town cause and for him, it's a no-brainer to come back each year.

"It's great that we have local people that are behind us and back hospice and are very supportive of this. Each year it's gotten bigger and bigger and I've been very fortunate we've had terrific sponsors, very fortunate that I've got some friends that are kind of celebrity friends that are willing to spend some of their free time and come here and help out," May said Thursday.
