Sarcone leads Adrean comeback at Blue & Gold

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Steve Sarcone scored a key run and drove in the go-ahead runs Thursday Night, as Adrean Post beat Binghamton 5-3 in the Blue and Gold Classic.  Adrean fell behind early, giving up three runs, all on errors, in the second inning.  But they came back, tying the game in the third.

Sarcone scored the second of two runs on an error by Cheyo Rogers, on a ball hit by Nick Allen.  Luke Manolescu also scored on the play.  Two batters later Adrean tied it, on another error by Rogers, this time on a ball hit by Sean Hulser, which scored Kevin Rowlands.

Hulser and his brother Colin each made beautiful catches early on.  Sean, the team's catcher, dove in foul territory to haul in an out on Jeff Quinn.  Colin, in left field, made his own diving grab in the first, to get Jake Burchalk on a long shot to the outfield.

Adrean rebounded from a loss earlier in the day, 7-5 to New London, Connecticut.
