Whitesboro Varsity Football heads to state semi-finals
WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - Friday is a big night for Whitesboro Varsity football players.
They're off to Rochester to play Aquinas in the state semi-finals. The team got a send-off from police and firefighters Friday as they headed toward the New York State Thruway. Coach Tom Schoen says no pep talks were held - saying it's too late for that. However, but he had some words of wisdom for the team last night. "It's just about challenge, you know?" said Schoen. "Everyone should be tested to find out what their limits are, and this is a challenge. We've been a good football team until now and time to find out how good are we." If they win Friday night against Aquinas, the warriors earn a spot in the state championship. |
