TROY, N.Y. (AP) - A rap video posted on YouTube-dot-com has led to the arrests of a group of upstate teens who are shown brandishing handguns in the on-line clip.

The arrests were made Wednesday night in Troy after a City Council member tipped off the mayor about the video. The mayor alerted police, who staked out the corner in the city that appears in the video.

Authorities say a car with several teenagers inside pulled up and one of the teens was spotted tucking a handgun into his belt. Police moved in and arrested the group.

Detectives say the teens had planned to rob the home of a drug dealer living in the neighborhood.

City Councilman Mark McGrath says a friend e-mailed him the gangster video and he recognized where it was taped because he used to live in that neighborhood.

McGrath says at first he thought the video was entertaining -- until the teens in the clip started flashing handguns.
