Cupcake sales raising funds for bombing victims

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A local business is doing its part to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

The owners of Bagg's Square Cafe lived in Boston for six years before moving home and opening the shop. In just two days, $300 has been raised by selling a certain popular baked good and the effort will continue through the end of next week.

"We are selling our cupcakes, one of our most popular items, and giving 100 percent of what we make to the fund," said Francis Pezzolanella, owner of Bagg's Square café. "There's two different funds we are giving to, one to the Richards boy who was killed and one to the another fund."

Bagg's Square Cafe is hoping to write a $1,000 check for the families.

The cupcakes are three dollars each.
