19-year-old killed after exchange of gunfire with police
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)- Utica Police have released the identity of the man who was shot and killed at Addison Miller Park on Sunday.
Jessie Lee Rose, 19, of Schuyler Street was shot after an exchange of gunfire with Utica Police in the West Utica neighborhood.
Police received a call of a man firing a long gun at around 12:30 p.m., and when they arrived on the scene they ordered him to drop the gun.
Police said he did not comply and gunfire was exchanged. Rose was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Autopsy results have not yet been released.
