Apartment building burning in Boonville


BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire crews responded to a call on 167 Main Street in Boonville around 2:30 on Thursday morning. The building was fully involved and firefighters called in at least five other companies for mutual aid.

We're told its an apartment building. Everyone was evacuated safely. The fire then spread to an adjacent building. The Red Cross has been called in to help those displaced by the fire.

No injuries have been reported at the this time.

Companies from Stittville, Remsen, Constableville, Westernville, Forestport, West Leyden and Floyd were called to the scene.

Then just after 4 a.m. two extra tankers were called in from Westernville.
