Comets continue 'Heat' streak

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Comets seem to be on a roll of late after yet another win at home, Wednesday night.

The team was back on the ice, Thursday, after beating the Abbotsford Heat, one of the AHL's best team, Wednesday for the third time in a row.
After struggling early in the season, the team has now won three straight games at The Aud, and three of their last four overall.

Despite being in last place in the Western Conference right now, the Comets sit just 8 points out of a playoff spot, still with plenty of season to go.

While the beginning may have been rough, the team credits the fans and their unwavering support, for the recent success.

"Since I've been here, the crowds have been loud and it's been almost full every game," said forward, Cal O'Reilly. "So we want to win for us, but also for them, because they've been supporting us and the city is behind us.

"So we want to come out here and play well for them, and lately it's been happening for us."

The team welcomes the Heat back to The Aud, Friday night, looking for their 4th win in a row at home, as well as their 4th straight against Abbotsford.

With a sense of confidence and optimism, the Comets will look to keep it rolling when the puck drops at 7 p.m.
