Cool jazz wows a crowd at Summer Nights Concert Series

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Area residents came out to enjoy the cool sounds of jazz during the Summer Nights Concert Series Monday night at the Rome Art and Community Center.

John Piazza and the Little Big Band performed at the center's brand new Stevens-Kingsley Pavilion. The band performed modern, contemporary jazz and classic jazz.

Local fans of the band and musicians came out to enjoy the event.

"It's a cool thing. It's a chance to come out on a summer night to see a fabulous concert," said Scott Rutledge, fan and musician. "This is one of the best Little Big bands you would ever hear anywhere. Really it doesn't matter what the location is."
