UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The holiday's are supposed to be a fun and festive time for all but for many, specifically those who have lost a loved one this past year, it's one of the most difficult. Faxton St. Luke's healthcare held its 2nd annual Remembrance Ceremony, Thursday night, for their patients who passed away in 2013.

Around 30 people came to the ceremony where there was prayer, songs by the Exodus musical group and testimonials from individuals about their loved ones.

Paul Lehmann, the hospital's Director of Spiritual Care said, "I think a lot of times people feel alone and that with all the trappings of the holiday season going on, they are excited but they aren't feeling it. Here's a chance to be true to their feelings and to realize they aren't the only ones feeling that way."

The hospital hopes to continue this as an annual event.
