Fugitives wanted out of Watertown located in Ilion

ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two individuals wanted by State Police in Watertown were located and arrested in the Village of Ilion Thursday night.
On February 9, State Police in Herkimer received information that the two individuals, who were wanted by the State Police in Watertown on charges of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, were possibly in the Ilion area. Information was relayed to local authorities that the subjects may have stolen a vehicle in the Indian Lake area and might possibly be in possession of a stolen handgun.
Those individuals were identified as Hugh J. Broadbent III, 27, of Watertown, and Andrea L. Lynch, 29, of Theresa. Authorities said that Lynch was additionally wanted by the U.S. Marshal's Service for mail fraud.
On Thursday, February 9, authorities learned that Lynch would possibly be going to the Kinney Drug Store in Ilion to pick up a Western Union wire transfer. Surveillance was set up and when Lynch appeared to pick up the money at roughly 5 p.m., she was immediately arrested by plainclothes State Police BCI and Ilion Police Department Investigators.
Following the apprehension of Lynch, several locations in Ilion were checked for Broadbent, to no avail.
At roughly 6:30 p.m., Broadbent was spotted by a State Police Investigator walking near the Ilion Fire Station. Upon seeing police, Broadbent fled on foot and was apprehended near the Ilion Police Department after a short foot chase. Both subjects were taken to the State Police barracks in Herkimer and subsequently turned over to Watertown State Police.
