Further suspect details released in Sharon Springs bank robbery, reward offered
SHARON SPRINGS, N.Y. (WKTV) - Authorities have released further details about the suspect they are searching for in a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery in Sharon Springs.
According to New York State Police, around 12:04 p.m. on Wednesday, a white male, roughly 5'8" tall with a stocky build, entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. Authorities say the suspect was wearing a yellow hard hat, a reflective work vest, jeans, gloves, and a hooded sweatshirt.
He left the bank with an as yet undetermined amount of cash and proceeded on foot in a northern direction behind the bank.
State Police say that at this time, he is believed to have left the area in an older model black Jeep with a hard top and yellow emergency light affixed to the roof. The suspect vehicle is equipped with white rims and an older white New York State license plate.
