Holland Patent man charged in connection to Herkimer County burglaries

HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Holland Patent man has been charged in connection with two burglaries in Herkimer County.

According to New York State Police, Eric C. Nelson, 23, of Holland Patent is accused of committing a burglary to a Town of Russia residence in January 2012 and of breaking into the Cold Brook American Legion in September 2011.

Nelson was arraigned in the Town of Russia Court and remanded to the Herkimer County Jail on $25,000 cash / $50,000 bail bond.

Authorities said the investigation into possible other burglaries in Herkimer and Oneida County is continuing.
