Mexican food a staple of Washington Mills for ten years

WASHINGTON MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - Mexico is celebrating 200 years of independence, and Rio Grande Tex Mex is celebrating ten years in business.

Over the past decade, Gino Laurenzo has been serving up authentic, fresh homemade food in his Washington Mills location.

It is certainly a hot spot for lunch and dinner, and Laurenzo says the key to running a successful business, you have to be dedicated.

For him, that's all paid off.

"There was a need for good Mexican food in the area," Laurenzo said. "So, it's been fun because people really appreciate that we brought something different and delicious here. It was needed."

Rio Grande, located on Oneida Street, has some special dishes this week in honor of it's tenth birthday.
