NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Golfers came out for a good cause today as Sitrin Health hosted a military golf tournament at the Yonandase's golf club in New Hartford.

Around 90 golfers teed off at the inspiring tournament, in order to raise money for military veterans specifically those with post traumatic stress disorder. They also were raising money to build a lodge for troops who come back with injuries.

Rick Yarosh, a retired Iraqi veteran said he's lucky to be alive and thankful he can give back, " It's very gratifying I'm very proud to be a vet we have a great country and its all the people in this country that make it great. I came home to a grateful nation, what I did, I didn't expect anything when I got home but I got everything when I got home and it makes it all worthwhile in the end because If i came back to a nation that wasn't grateful then what am i really fighting for?"

They hope to raise approximately 30,000 dollars.
