Moe's celebrates opening with fundraiser VIP party

By ANGELICA A. MORRISON

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)- Several hundred area residents got the VIP treatment, Wednesday night, at the new Moe's Southwest Grill on North Genesee Street in Utica.

The restaurant celebrated its opening with a fundraiser for the junior class at the Thomas R. Proctor High School. For $10 folks enjoyed all they could eat and gave back to the community all at the same time.

More than 400 people attended the event.

"It's something that Moe's does at all of its grand openings," said Paul Damico president. "We're opening a restaurant every three days, right now, somewhere in the county."

And, in conjunction with the VIP party, newly opened frozen yogurt shop Hoopla gave away free yogurt all day.
