Water Authority crews busy overnight with water main breaks

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Crews responded to several water main breaks early Wednesday morning. Officials with the Mohawk Valley Water Authority say with the swing in temperatures, the breaks are bound to happen.

The biggest break was just after 6 a.m. in front of the Harza building in Utica. Officials say a private line broke going into the building is busted.

Luckily the water authority was able to shut off water only to that building.

Another break in New Hartford has a handful of residents without water.

Crews expect to have the water turned back on near Paris Road this afternoon.
